RED ROCK PIXIE BOBS
This page was last updated: September 8, 2014
The origination of the Pixie-Bob came from the Cascade Mountains where a short tailed polydactyl female barn cat was being attacked by a coastal red Bobcat. Two months later the barn cat had a litter of unusually wild looking kittens. They were big boned, had long ear tips, and spotted pelts. As they grew older, the kittens seemed highly intelligent and remarkably different than any other domestic breed of cat. Coincidently other litters were being born throughout the Northwest. All shared a similar story or "Legend" to them.
A woman named Carol Brewer purchased one of these legend cats, and recognized its intelligent dog like qualities. She found an unrelated female legend cat, and her first kitten she named "Pixie". Although we would like to believe our legend, there is no scientific proof. All DNA test have been negative for wild markers.
